Become a Licensed Agent in Pennsylvania

1. Pennsylvania requires you to take a pre-licensing education course in order to take the state exam. Enroll in Xcel Solution which is a 7day course with practice exams to prepare you for state exam. Go to website https://www.xcelsolutions.com. Select Insurance Pre-Licensing English under the Select Training Categories, select Pennsylvania for state, then continue. Select Pennsylvania Life Pre-Licensing (2nd course listed). 2. Schedule, take and pass State Exam. Register for the state exam https://candidate.psiexams.com or (800)733-9267. The fee the exam is $43.00. When you show up you must have a photo ID, pre-license education certificate and all other documents that the testing facility has asked you to bring. Good Luck!!!

3. Pennsylvania requires that all insurance license applicants provide fingerprints prior to licensing. Giving your fingerprints will initiate a background check. If you have any prior misdemeanors or felonies, this may affect the outcome of your licensing efforts.

The fee for fingerprinting services is $22.60.

4. Now that you have passed your state exam and got your fingerprints done, you are now ready to apply for your license. Go to https://www.sircon.com to fill out and submit your online application. There is a $55.00 application fee plus a small service fee from Sircon. Your license should be issued within 9-15 business days. After your application has been approved, you will receive an email from the Department of Insurance regarding the issuance of your license.

5. CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are now a Licensed Agent in the State of Pennsylvania. Contact your hiring manager and give them the Good News!!! Your manager will forward you your Lincoln Heritage contract via Docusign and start the training process. 

Become a Licensed Agent in Delaware

2. Delaware requires that all insurance license applicants provide fingerprints prior to licensing. Giving your fingerprints will initiate a background check. If you have any prior misdemeanors or felonies, this may affect the outcome of your licensing efforts. You must schedule your fingerprinting appointment with the Delaware State Police at (302)739-2528. Tell them that you are getting your fingerprints for a Delaware Insurance license and that you need both state and FBI background checks run. The fee for fingerprinting services is $75.00. When completed, they will send the results directly to the Insurance Department.

3. Schedule, Take and Pass State Exam. Register for the state exam at https://pearsonvue.com. The fee for the exam is $90.00. When you show up, you must have photo ID and all other documents that the testing facility has asked you to bring.
After passing the exam, you will receive a report from Pearson Vue. Do not lose this report, as you will need it to complete the next step.

4. Now that you have passed your state exam and fingerprinting, you are now ready to apply for your license. Go to https://nipr.com. The fee for an online application is $100, and NIPR will charge a small service fee.
Fill out and submit your application. You will also need to send in a copy of your exam report. Your license should be issued within 10-15 business days.

5. CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are now a Licensed Agent in the State of Delaware. Contact your hiring manager and give them the Good News!!! Your manager will forward you your Lincoln Heritage contract via Docusign and start the training process

Become a Licensed Agent in Virginia

1. Virginia requires you to take 24hrs of pre-licensing education in order to take the state exam. Enroll in Xcel Solution which is a 7day course with practice exams to prepare you for state exam. Go to website https://www.xcelsolutions.com. Select Insurance Pre-Licensing English under the Select Training Categories, select Virginia for state, then continue. Select Virginia Life Pre-Licensing (2nd course listed). Go to shopping cart. 2. Schedule, take and pass State Exam. https://www.prometric.com/virginia/insurance or (866) 891-6396. The fee the exam is $51. When you show up you must have a photo ID and any other documents that the testing facility has asked you to bring.

3. After passing your exams, you must obtain a Criminal History Record Report through the Virginia State Police. . If you have any prior misdemeanors or felonies, this may affect the outcome of your licensing efforts. There will be a $15 fee to complete this check. To fill this requirement, click the link and follow the instructions below.
Select Form SP-167 Criminal History Record Name Search. Request Type: Criminal History Search Purpose: OTHER. Specify Purpose: Insurance License. Once you have completed the form, print it, have it notarized, and save it for the next step.

4. Now that you have passed your state exam and initiated your background check, you are now ready to apply for your license. The fee for an online application is $15 plus a small service fee from Sircon. You must also upload your notarized Criminal History Record Report with the application. Fill out and submit your online application at https://www.sircon.com. Your license should be issued within 10-15 business days. After your application has been approved, you will receive an email from the Department of Insurance regarding the issuance of your license.

Become a Licensed Agent in Ohio

Visit https://ohioattorneygeneral.gov to schedule an appointment to have your fingerprints taken. The fee for fingerprinting services can cost up to $72.25 depending on where you have them done. When scheduling, be sure to tell them that you are using them to get your Ohio insurance license. They will send the state and federal results directly to Ohio Department of Insurance.

3. Schedule, take and pass State Exam. Register for the state exam https://candidate.psiexams.com. or (800)733-9267. The fee the exam is $42.00. When you show up you must have a photo ID, pre-licensing education certificate and all other documents that the testing facility has asked you to bring. Good Luck!!!

4. Now that you have passed your state exam and fingerprinting, you are now ready to apply for your license. Go to https://nipr.com. The fee for an online application is $10.00, plus a $5.00 NIPR service fee.

Fill out and submit your application. You will also need to send in a copy of your exam report. Your license should be issued within 7-10 business days. After your application has been approved, you will receive an email from the Department of Insurance regarding the issuance of your license.

2. Schedule, take and pass State Exam. Visit https://pearsonvue.com. or call (888)274-2020 to schedule exam. Use Exam Type 2-14 Life, Code: InsFL-LHA05 when scheduling exam. The fee the exam is $44. When you show up you must have a photo ID any other documents that the testing facility has asked you to bring. GOOD LUCK!!!

3. Florida requires electronic fingerprints be taken in order to run a criminal background check. Schedule to have your fingerprints taken https://identogo.com. You may also schedule your appointment by phone at 800-528-1358

The fee for fingerprinting services is $45.80

4. Now that you have passed your state exam and fingerprinting, you are now ready to apply for your license. Go to https://dice.fldfs.com. Create an account, selecting “individual” as your account type with license type 2-14 Life. The fee for an online insurance application is $55.00. Fill out and submit your application. Your license should be issued within 10-15 business days. After your application has been approved, you will receive an email from the Department of Insurance regarding the issuance of your license.

5. CONGRATULATIONS!!! You are now a Licensed Agent in the State of Florida. Contact your hiring manager and give them the Good News!!! Your manager will forward you your Lincoln Heritage contract via Docusign and start the training process.
